The Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby

The Curragh Racecourse in County Kildare (www.curragh.ie) hosts some of the most famous races in the world including the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival.

The Derby is a Group 1 flat horse race in Ireland open to three-year old thoroughbred colts and fillies. It is run at the Curragh over a distance of one mile and four furlongs (2,414 metres), and is scheduled to take place each year in late June or early July.

The Irish Derby Festival is a complete weekend of heart-racing fun, with horse-racing, fashion, and a Derby Ball all rolled into one fabulous weekend. It is truly one of the highlights of Ireland's social calendar.

Fashion and glamour are two of the most important ingredients of a Classic Race Day. The Irish Derby's Official Ladies' Day is on the Saturday, and there are also prizes for the "Most Stylish" ladies on Derby Day on the Sunday.
